Ok, I know this says I'm in Syria, but actually we're currently staying in the Golan Heights which is another Israeli occupied territory that was conquered after the 1967 Six Day War. We just got here this evening so I don't really know what it's all about yet, but what I DO know is that there is SNOW ON THE GROUND!!!!! Wow. I was NOT expecting this. SNOW?! Let's flashback to almost 3 months ago when I was packing for this trip. Here I am thinking I'd be in the desert for most of the trip, so I brought linen pants, tshirts, and one fleece. Turns out I was freezing in Bethlehem, freezing in Hebron, freezing in Jerusalem, and now I'm freezing in the Galilee and Golan Heights with SNOW. Jeez louise.....

So the last couple days have been really great! We went up north to the Galilee area, stayed at an AMAZING little hostel/B&B, and toured around. This area up north is SO BEAUTIFUL!! It looks like a combination between Ireland and Switzerland (or at least the pictures I've seen and the idea I have in my head). Big, green rolling hills, the beautiful Sea of Galilee, and SO many trees!!! I love it! :) So we went to the Mount of Beatitudes and then walked down the mount and it was so gorgeous even though it has been raining like crazy and we all got totally covered in mud! But it was a blast even if my shoes are a mess now! Basically this area is incredible and we only have a few more days in Israel until we head to Jordan Tuesday. Lots of homework still to do, but it slowly becoming more manageable.

That's all for now!
