Yes, I am still alive and well in Morocco
Time has stood still here in many ways and it has been difficult to find internet service
Today I rode a camel in the sahara and climbed a large sand dune - just because if youre in the sahara you really have to go ahead and fill your shoes with the fine red sand.
Fez was a blur - I went through the motions but was on the travelers diet, if you know what I mean. The labarinth of alley ways; smells, sights were a bit over the top but the quiet here in the desert is wonderful. Tomorrow night we camp in a tent in the desert so we can experience the sunset/sunrise in the sahara.
The Moroccan countryside is more beautiful than I'd expected - we had to take a detour yesterday around the middle atlas mountains due to snow/ice but saw the eastern edge of the country that we wouldnt have seen otherwise. The food is okay - though the tajine overcooks the vegetables for my taste. Our group is fun and the guide is terrific. I probably wont have computer again until Marrakech so I'll wish everyone a MerryChristmas and hope all is well at home with the cold weather and snow you are getting. Love, Kayti

Bonjour
Glad to hear you're still having a good time. Are the clothes you brought keeping you warm enough?? I'm so jealous- I want to ride a camel in the desert and get red sand in my shoe. What kind of food have you had? Anything extremely odd?
It's been snowing here all day- though I'm surprised it's warm enough- the temperature hasn't gotten above 10 all day. Saturday is supposed to be a high of 2 and a low of -10. I gave my Europe presentations at the school today and that went well.
Enjoy the rest of your vacation and I will see you when you get back Christmas night!!
Lots of love,
Alicia
Christmas Greetings and Blessings
Hi Kayti, Glad that you are having a good time - I rode a camel in Tangier
years ago when we first went to Spain. We are having winter weather here,
finally. Lots of rain yesterday and lots of snow in our mountains - even on
Saddleback Mtn. I am cooking a turkey dinner for the family on Xmas Eve
and I will go to Kathy's and Ted's for Xmas Day. Stay well and warm.
Love, Mom
