My morning started with a very sad goodbye to Nick and was followed by a long day full of annoying small children. On my 11 hour flight between Seattle and Beijing I had 5 kids under the age of 6 around me, two on each side and one screamer right in front of me! I got very little sleep on that flight, but I did get some good movies watched!!! For the people that are curious, I did not fly over North Korea. From Seattle, we flew north east to Alaska, then over Russia and South over Mongolia. We flew over land for most of the flight! Once I got off the flight, Immigration was a breeze and Customs was even easier! I then took the 3 hour drive between Beijing and Tianjin, which was not alot to look at except for the driving!! There was a good amount of traffic leaving the Beijing Airport, but not much once we got away from the airport. Lanes do not matter here, if you don't like the lane you are in and no one will let you over, you just make a new lane, or drive on the shoulder! Also very little use of turn signals, but lots of honking and flashing brights. Surprisingly though there was no road rage or hostility on the road at all. The cars seemed to just flow like a river of cars, a very very scary river of cars!

As soon as I pulled up to my new hotel, I knew I was in love! I thought that the Desert Springs Villas II was my favorite Marriott, but I was wrong! I only got a small glimps of the lobby, but I can't wait to explore it! Once I was able to set my things down and relax a little, I didn't want to walk around too much. I did add pictures of my room though. I have two beds that really are as comfy as they look, an amazing bathroom, and incrediable views. There is a rediculous amount of out my window so I haven't been able to get amazing pictures yet, but I will. The tall tower that is out my window is the same picture that is on my Facebook timeline picture!

Next on my agenda is to get ready to meet my boss and figure out what I am going to be doing while I am here. Hopefully there will be some time for exploring today as well. There is quite a bit of large tourist attractions that are within walking distance. I am not far from Tianjin's Water Park (not a waterslides and wavepools kind of water park) made of lakes, islands and different things to do. I have heard that one of the islands has a waterslide, but we will see! Also at Tianjin's Water Park, there Tianjin's Eye is which is similar to the London Eye! Tianjin's Eye was build on top of a bridge over the Hai River. Also the TV tower, which is the 10th tallest tower in the world, is within walking distance. It has an observation deck that I am sure will have some incredible views of the city.

On a sidenote, Wikipedia is not a banned website!!! I add links for some cool places!
