Pronounced Nja Djang, this was our first stop after HCM City. To be honest we expected more, but this was again the case of Lonely Planet exaggerating. The beaches are OK, but nothing compared to the rest we have seen.
Diving was also a bit disappointing, and that was a pity given it would have been the last one of our trip. At 25 degrees, the water was kind of cold, visibility only reached 5 m, and nothing against Vietnamese Dive Masters, but our's was a bit weird. On board he was OK, but once we got in the water, he didn't care too much, and that made everything a bit chaotic (e.g. we almost got up to the surface in the middle of the dive).
The beaches are somehow in contrast with the number of hotels. Many 5-stars resorts, for what?
Nevertheless, Nha Trang makes sense because it is a night on the bus away from Saigon, and the sand and big waves cheered us up after pokering with our lives when crossing the streets in Saigon.
