Imagine a small tropical island with incredible snorkeling and scuba diving, a rich jungle in the centre and surrounded by remarkably quiet, palm tree laced beaches. You're imagining Koh Tao, a small island off the eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand.

The six days on Ko Tao were packed as there was so much to do. First of all, we enrolled in one of the hundreds of dive centers for a PADI Open Water Advanced Course. Thus we had to study and answer the so called Knowledge Reviews. Then we had to do 5 dives: a fun Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive, a Underwater Navigation Dive which I didn't really master, an amazing Deep Dive in between of swarms of barracuda, tuna and huge groupers, a Multilevel resp. Underwater Photography, and a feel-like-a-detective Night Dive where we saw barracudas ripping their prey. Furthermore, we discovered right on the first day the excellent off-shore snorkeling. Thus, we had to schedule snorkeling in our daily agenda. And playing frisbee and then get into a fight with Mihai because he would always try to teach me how to throw as if I didn’t know how to throw that skin-tearing thing. Then we had to go to our favorite restaurant three times a day for a Massaman Curry and afterwards visit our favorite pancake guy for a pankaka with nutella and banana. I almost forgot to mention the Thai massages and my ambitious attempt to fly at the flying trapeze. Then at night we had to stroll along the beach to watch the fire-juggling shows. Well, you see, it was a tight schedule. And we loved it!
