Where I stayed
Day 8 - Telegraph Cove
Last night we got some new birds - calling and ultimately displaying and responding Western Screech Owls! Great little birds. We got them out of the back of 'the boy's house' before alerting the rest of the crew who had, by this time [11pm] fallen asleep.
Now let me explain; here in Telegraph Cove we rented 2 houses - one for Russ and Maria, Bob and Norma and Jan, and the other for the 'boys', Myself, Gary Davidson [our BC ace - birder, driver, guider, and knower of all things Canadian], Alan, Steve and lastly, the indefatigable Ray.
Today though was the day of the trip so far!!
Today was the Tide Rip Grizzly cruise. We took a 2 hour cruise from Telegraph Cove, across Johnston Strait to Knight inlet.
And it did not disappoint!! Six Grizzlies, one Black Bear, Deer, Eagles, Auks, seals, dolphins, porpoises, ducks, divers, and a Yellow headed Black Bird on a large rock! Plus [again] amazing scenery.
Just ignore my lack of words and appreciate my average photography.
