This weekend I kinda went on a baking frenzy as it's fall and it should be cool outside! Well, today the high will be about 22C and the low for tonight is 13C. I bought a pumpkin as a can of Libby pumpkin is 2.65JD!!! It was really sweet tasting and made fabulous bread. Thank goodness for epicurious.com for the great recipes I can find there as I couldn't get my books with me. :-) In order to bake the bread, I needed to find bread pans and that was an adventure to 3 stores and I ended up with Anchor Hocking for about 2.5JD a piece.

My poor little mixer was overwhelmed but it does the job along with the kettle I use to cook rice in! I got two big loaves of bread that were so yummy! I brought one loaf to school to share but still have a loaf of pumpkin and banana bread to munch on at home.

I also made chicken pot pie with fresh biscuits and had my neighbor Melissa and her son Haydon along with Lisa and her two boys Mitchell and Andrew over. Dessert was....pumpkin bread, banana bread and Auntie Betty's rusks. It was a fun evening and then I don't have to eat pot pie for the next 5 days!

Last night was Craft Night and it has now been offically moved to Starbucks. It was Anita and I plus Terri and Lisa who came to chat. We got some odd looks while we laughed and stitched but it was a lot of fun. It was 10pm when I got home!

Today is a short day so the kids are out at noon and I am giving "pop" quizzes to my classes-you should hear the panic! I am kinda giggling as their repsonses as I haven't done one of these yet so it is comical to watch them. :-) Once the kids leave, lunch is being provided by Nael and his family-he is a computer teacher here and then it off to grade writing prompts with the 6+1 Traits of Writing. Should be interesting!

The rest of this week is nuts with all the Halloween stuff going on! Tomorrow the Student Council will be delivering the Candy Grams they sold-all 168 of them! I have had to make a couple of candy runs as we keep selling more than I expected. I suppose I will wear my costume-check back later for the pics on that one. ;-) Thursday there is a MS dance-more later on that on
