Well, I must really be settled in if I am rearranging the furniture and trying to figure out what colors I want on my walls! As I sat in my living room this afternoon, I decided I needed a break from grading so I rearranged my dining room. Plus when I looked into my dining room, I didn't care for the look I had so it was a good excuse for a break. Do I really need one?? :-) I moved my cupboards to a side wall where I can't see them when sitting in the living room. From there, my friends, the Wheeler's, were coming over so I had them help me move the table and rug underneath it. The rug went to the entry way so it doesn't look like wasted space. The table got repositioned and I now have a wall to hang things on.

The next part of my break was to find hooks for the walls. Thank you 3M for the command hooks! They are a godsend on concrete walls. I found them at Safeway for pretty reasonable price-12 micro hooks for 1.25JD/$1.50ish and they were cheaper than the local brand that was charging 7.25JD/$10! I also found a couple of picture frames that didn't cost an arm & a leg. Off I went home...

Started on the placement of stuff but realized I really needed a level so I kinda got stuck in the middle of my projects. I also needed tape for the pictures so they would fit inside the mat and I have none at home. Note to bring home tape from school tomorrow!

Well, I got back to grading and still didn't finish but will keep plugging away. We actually have a full week of school for the next 2 weeks and then it is Eid al Fitr-the end of Ramadan and vacation. For those of you who don't know, Kia is coming from October 12 through the 19th!!! I am not sure who is more excited?!!? But before that I need to get my school stuff done as grades and report cards are coming up....

Look for the pictures of the new & imporved dining room once I get all my stuff on the walls.
