So I have found that the anticipation of letting go is far more painful than the letting go. As soon as I got in my seat on the plane I arrived at the end of my anticipation and at the beginning of my journey. I actually had a bounce in my step on my way through security so part of me must have known (the guards had a good chuckle). At the airport in Lima this guy who had been on my flight started a conversation with me. I asked him if this was his first time in Peru. It was. Why was he here? His brother is living in Iquitoes filming a documentary on Peruvian Shamanism. He was bringing equipment. We had a very inspiring conversation and I left for Miraflores. Allready the signs had started to appear that I am indeed on the right path.
I awoke in the morning with a smile on my face knowing that I was to follow the advice of a kindered spirit.
... So there I was flying through the air like a bird with nothing on my mind only the sensation of freedom. It truly took my breath away and in it's place left a breath I had all but forgotten. I feel alive again. I then danced the night away. This really hot club in Miraflores had a live salsa band. The music was amazing, like my very own soundtrack. I leave at 9:00am for Cusco. And this is only the beginning. There is so much more to come.
