Short Version:
Broken record, it rained some more.
We relocate; everyone's happy again.
More rain, rain suits and grocery shopping.
Wordy Version:
Ok, yes it is raining still, but that doesn’t phase our RV relocation effort today. Short of going over and helping the people get their rig packed and on their way, Karen is sitting in the driver’s seat of our rig ready to roll. These people leaving are hardly around the corner and we’re backing into their previous site; this was a record busting set up time for us. Alright, everyone is now happy and the remainder of the vacation is no longer in peril.
This was pretty much the highlight of this rainy day for us; as you can see, after several soggy, cooped up days, it doesn’t take much to make us happy campers. I guess we’ve found the one Achilles’ heel of motorhome traveling; continuous rain with no rental or tow vehicle makes for very long days. The rain situation is such that the bikes are really out because we would literally drown if we tried to go anywhere and the local car rental is booked until Sunday. We had planned and paid to stay till Monday so we go ahead with the car rental reservation just to have an option for then; now remains a problem.
Fortunately, the afternoon rain slacks up and we have the other exciting event for the day; grocery shopping. I don’t recall ever seeing Karen smile so much while grocery shopping; we’re out of the RV and we are doing something, even if it is inside a grocery store. Once again, it is necessities only since we have the bikes.
Back to the RV and we endure the remainder of the day; at least we have a great view of the fog! We end the day checking the weather for tomorrow; we have a Lu-Lu Belle appointment.
