John and i spent yesterday checking out some more of Darwin and enjoying a coffee on the wharf of the harbour where the richies have their big houses and big boats. It was very nice (obviously).
We then spent the arvo shopping for the Kombi and pimping her up a little more - check out the photos.
Then we dressed up in our prettys and headed to the Casino. The Casino here has about 10 tables and about 10,000 pokie machines - they obviously dont require much thought so they have much more of them here then in other casinos (sorry Darwin). But its a nice Casino and we spent the first few minutes playing the pokies and then headed into the buffet for dinner.
It was the best all you can eat buffet ive ever seen. We didnt have to book, of course, but there was prawns and CRAB (can you believe it - crab, at all you can eat!) and oysters and everything!! It was the best. Of course John and I at the start said we were going to eat everything - but of course were full after 2 plates. That didnt stop us from going for the deserts - there was a cake fridge where you opened the door and helped yourself - to whatever cake you wanted! It was a dream. And all you can drink coke!! ahhhhhh - too much excitement for one night.
We topped the night off by losing all our money on the chocolate wheel and we headed home, full to the gills and nearly sick on the stomach - what a great night! The only bad part about the whole thing is that Darwin does not have no smoking laws and for the first time in years, we came home with our clothes and hair (well my hair) smelling like cigarette smoke! Yuck - forgot how awful it is!
Today we are just recovering from food overload and are about to head to another set of markets - they love markets here in Darwin.
