John and I had a nice relaxing afternoon with a swim and sleep and we were charged up to take on the gorge walk and a swim in a crocodile infested river!

We took on the river first - figured we would die cool and fat rather than hot and fit. But to our job, no crocs appeared and none had been caught in the croc traps just across from the swimming area.

We walked up a big mountain to get great views of one of Katherines many gorges. It was great but hot - it was 35 deg today and we left the walk till 3 but it was still hot. But worth the walk.

We returned to the safety of the swimming pool and then cooked ourselves a good old fashioned aussie bbq in the bush at Kamp Kombi.

Tomorrow off to another part of Katherine - Edith Falls, but before that we will check out the School of Air.
