Today we drove from Port Macdonnell to Beachport where we were going to stay the night. When we got there we went to the salty lake (7 times saltier then the ocean). The lady at the tourist information office told us that the lake wasnt that cold - we put the the wetsuits on and went in - it was freezing. It was colder then freezing - it was ridiculous. We lasted about 20 secs. This convinced us that we didnt want to stay (we thought that would take up a bit of our day) and so we drove to the next major town - Kingston SE - home of the giant lobster and apparently the best fish and chips in the state. So we stopped for some fish and chips and checked out the massive amount of weed on the beach and decided that we didnt really want to stay here either. There was nothing on the SA coast at all - so we had to decide what we wanted to do.
So we have continued to drive and have ended up at Victor Harbour - 420 kms for John and 98 for me (yes not fair i know, but im such a good co-pilot and sing so well)and we arrived here about 7pm, set up shop and we are now watching tv and reading and planning our next moves. Now that we are so close to Adelaide we are going to go to Kangaroo Island for a few days - probably about 5, it looks like an awesome place, and then into Adelaide.

you guys are crazy
How cold was it kaz?
Of course you are a great singer. Why else would you only drive nearly 400kms less than John!
