After our car was delivered to us at our hostel in the middle of Istanbul we had the difficult time of trying to get out of the city as well as Damo having to drive on the other side of the car (it was a manual) and on the other side of the road. It took us about 2 hours to get out (we didn't get lost but the traffic was so bad) and then we were on our way to Gallipoli to check out where the ANZACs had landed. On Anzac Day there are usually thousands of Aussies and Kiwis vying for a good spot during the dawn ceremony, when we got there (in May) there was not another soul in sight. We ended up having the whole place to ourselves before getting on a car ferry to cross over to Canakkale on our way to see Troy.
