For the Nepalese New Years Eve is on the 13th April and the new year isn't 2007 or 2008, it is 2064! So we took a taxi from Kathmandu to Bhakatpur and arrived in a square full of markets. We checked into our hotel, met up Steve and headed up to the rooftop for a quick view of the square before a hailstorm hit. So we headed downstairs to the restaurant for dinner and asked the hotel owner about the NY celebrations - he then proceeded to talk for about 30 mins after which all three of us tried to put together what he had just said! We couldn't understand him with such a strong accent!
