After having Clint stay with us before his trip to Turkey and Eastern Europe we decided to meet up with him for a week starting off in Budapest for his bday. We had a pretty smooth trip to Budapest - no problems on the tube and found the airport car park easily before leaving on the plane on time and then being picked up from the airport and taken to our apartment in the Jewish quarter of Pest.

After arriving at the apartment we were given 2 sets of keys and then headed out to the local pub for dinner and some drinks. Just before midnight we realised that we had left both sets of keys in the apartment so Clint rang the lady who organised the apartment for us to see if she could let us back in. Unfortunately she had no master key so at midnight (she wasn't too impressed) she met us at the apartment and was kind enough to let us sleep in another apartment. However due to Clint's snoring Damo ended up sleeping on a mattress in the bathroom with his head next to the toilet while I was on one in the hallway and Clinto on the couch. We knew the day had been going too well!

At 9 the next morning we headed back to our apartment and gave one of the keys back - we weren't willing to risk it again! Then it was off for a day of sight seeing and a long walk to the outdoor baths. Once there we changed into our swimmers and walked very quickly into the warm waters. We even risked sitting outside to have a beer before heading back into the water again. At night we headed out for Clinto's bday dinner and some drinks at some local pubs where we met up with Monica, a local Hungarian girl who worked for the apartments where we were staying and who I might add Clinto had his eyes on! We then met 2 more local girls and headed to 2 different pubs where the night ended at 3am after many beers, rums and tequila shots for the boys.

The following day the weather turned really bad so we had a perfect excuse to stay indoors and recover from the night before. We then headed to a lovely Italian restaurant and to an Irish pub where we had one beer each, didn't speak much too eachother because we were so tired then headed back to our luxury apartment for an early night.

On our last day in Budapest we headed to Castle Hill over on the Buda side and then it was off on a 3 hour train ride to Bratislava in Slovakia.
