Where I stayed
Lady Dunroaming died mysteriously in her sleep, then Mrs. Peacock gets stabbed in the dining room with the knife but ' who dun it'? That's what the audience had to find out as eight suspects told the most outrageous stories:
Gordon Bennet the butler was nicking the family silver and selling the vintage champagne.
Ida Down the secretary was hiding a guilty secret, the illegitimate daughter of Lady Dunroaming.
May Dolittle the housemaid was nicking jewellry off the guests and carrying on with everyone.
Royce Rolls the chauffeur was robbing the houses of the houseguests while they were dining at the Manor.
Fanny Scarlett the re-cycled hippy had let her business go to pot.
Omah Groin was in with the Mafia dealing drugs and running up gambling debts.
The solicitor Ivor Writ was creaming off the family fortune so he could afford to run a Lambourghini.
Inspector Drain was so clued up she forgot to bring in the murder weapon.
All in all it was one huge laugh The cast was marvellous considering it was a first for many and it was all improvisation.
Just seeing how much trouble they had taken with their costume was amusing. Irene looked great in her hippy outfit and I was proud to see Malcolm was wearing his old school tie from last year's Murder Mystery. Bob looked a real dandy with his wig and Peter's Butler could have graced Downtown Abbey.
