Everyone arrived wearing their tartan car rugs and various make-shift Scottish outfits.

Bernie deserves the prize for best innovative costume although Peter deserves a mention
for his hat (a pair of pants) and his sporren (a loo brush) improvisations.

Bernie said the Selkirk Grace in convincing Scotttish accent and brought in the haggis to pipe music.
The food was exceptional considering we didn't have any haggis but a very tasty meatloaf made by Magaret and lovely neeps made by Margaret D. and mash and gravy and shortbread made other lovely ladies who created a great community spirit by giving up their time  and effort into making this a successful event. Tess produced some floral corsages for ladies and table decorations worthy of any fine table.

Bob delivered the ode to the Haggis and stabbed it well and truly dead! He looked like Rob Roy as well wearing the Tam O'Shanter I made from a shower hat.
Colin wore his mini tartan skirt more of a cumberband really and gave up his hat to the Great Chieftain.
Ruth delivered a worthy response to Malcolm's Toast to the Lassies and jokes and poems came from
me and Peter and Angie and anyone else who had a good Scottish story to tell.
All in All it was a very good night and fun was had by all. Ending with Auld Lang Syne. Thankyou Bob and Margaret for a great night.

The next event is the Murder Mystery on Monday night calling all thespians on site...watch this space.
