Arrived Caceres 5p.m. and decided to stop here and not travel on to Salamanca.  We are exhausted having got up at 6a.m. to leave at 7a.m and then finding the camper battery had gone flat . We had to wait for the repair man to get us going again and so were three hours late leaving Lagos.

Thanks to Chris for trying to get us going again and Olwen for the hot coffee. We need sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moving on to El Desfiladero, what a dreadful campsite this was; an almost inaccessible road up into the hills and we had great difficulty turning the campervan round in the small space available to us at the top and the uneven ground. So we spent another fretful night worrying it might snow and we'd be stuck here. Thank goodness the weather looked clearer the next day and we must say we were glad to leave Spain behind and get to some semblance of civilisation in the lovely campsite Beau Soleil in Bordeaux. The journey through Spain had been uneventful as the landscape is pretty drab most of the way. the highlights of the trip was seeing a stork's nest. Seeing about 140 customised Renault's zooming past; seeing a wind turbine in transit; seeing snow on the mountains and rainbows.

Goodbye Spain.

Hello France we're looking forward to exploring Bordeaux  and all its treasures.
