Found some great beaches today, Albandeira with it's walk through caves to even more remote beaches, but we needed to be careful as the sea could quickly come in and cut us off and there's no way up these crumbly cliffs. One called Marinha with incredible rock formations, a diver's paradise with special trails to follow to see rare species of anemones, starfish, pipe fish and much more, this coast line is amazing. Here there were proper marked walking trails to follow along the cliff tops. Made particularly lovelier because there were so few people around at this time of year, I'm sure in the height of the season it's a different story and these lovely little beaches are probably packed and then lose their magic but today weTimes New Roman were able to walk on pristine sands alone and really enjoy the peaceful beauty of it all.

Also the almond trees are coming into blossom and they are so pretty and the scent delicious.

We've had a lovely day, stopping for lunch at Carvoeiro, a lovely fishing village the sun is shining although we know we're due for some rain soon we are managing to get out early and enjoy the best of the day before it clouds over late afternoon.

We spent the next day going back to Praia Camilo we think this might be our favourite beach along this coast, partly because it deserted for most of the five hours we spent there because we could observe the shags and gulls on the cliffs. Many boats passed us by on their way to the grottoes. There were a couple of divers just off shore and sailing boats coming out of the marina so lots to observe as well as many caves to explore and interesting rock formations to photograph.  There was hardly any breeze today so it was most pleasant to laze on the beach most of the day and read our books.

Sunshine, sandwiches, sailboats, sand and a shag what a perfect day.
