A Glorious Day

Really lovely sunshine today, a brisk breeze but out of the wind really very warm. We drove along the coast to Coehlo Beach which is the beach that belongs to Hapimag. We sat on the beach and watched the waves, there were only four other people about. We walked along the coast path and then into Hapimag for a glass of wine. It was very peaceful there and we recalled our stay. It's strange to think it's nearly three years since we stayed there and Colin popped the question. It has been a romantic day which was made complete by a lovely meal and a good bottle of wine.

It's nice to know there is a peaceful haven here if it gets too hectic at the rally.  We've met some fun people and it looks like we will have a good laugh, our neighbours Roger and Barbara are lovely and keep us smiling.  We shall however avoid the Karaoke as last night's rendering was diabolical, I sound like an angel next to them and anyone who knows me knows how bad I am.!!
We have boules matches, quizzes and dinner parties to look forward to as well as guided walks we hope.

The campsite is filling up as we get nearer to Christmas and everyone is putting up their lights and decorations, it's looking very festive.

The pool has been cleaned and looks very inviting with the sun sparkling on it. we've seen three people dive in swear and get out again  so assume it's freezing, although we might don our wetsuits and have a swim if we get brave enough.

We have the rally get together tonight and so are looking forward to meeting everyone about a 100 people but the word is that the ferries have been cancelled to Santander and Bilbao because of rough seas so there may be a few late arrivals.  There's quite a few ex-pats living on the campsite in mobile homes and we've met others who are staying here but not on the rally it's quite a jolly atmosphere.
