Abel Tasman National Park
This is all we hoped it would be, lots of sandy bays, clear waters and sunshine., we were able to kayak up to split apple rock and around the bays including Honeymoon Bay aptly named as it appears the only way to get there is by boat. No naked bathing though!!!!!
Definitely the best beaches so far in New Zealand, we travelled one day further up the coast into the park and found a glorious sunny beach where we parked close by and spent the whole day swimming, sunbathing, reading, walking along the shore, bird watching, lots of birdlife, Herons, Oyster Catchers, Bitterns, and Banded Dotteril. We even stayed till evening and made dinner there, sea food chowder and a good glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, locally grown of course! Many friendly people stopped to chat but secretly I thought they wanted some of our chowder and wine. We stayed until the sun was setting it was glorious.

Looks really lovely!! Wish we were there also. It is incredibly hot here and we spend hours in the pool. Poor Steve goes to freezing UK in 10 days time.
Love to you both
