Wow, it is a scorcher here in Malmö, Sweden....but who can complain when you have the Baltic Sea merely steps from your tent! And we have already taken advantage of that. Although it was no Lake Huron (felt more like Georgian Bay in early May) it was refreshing and a relief after the heat of the past week. Better than rain, so again no complaints.
Matt is currently using the pay toilets which about 5k = 50 cents. He now just says you could eat off the floors and they have a fish tank in the one he just used (at the railway station).
Our campsite is about 20min south by bus recommended to us by the girl at the reception of our last place in Copenhagen and everything has gone smoothly since this morning when we arrived. We took the train over the 2002 16km bridge that spans the Danish-Swedish strait of the Baltic Sea and we have a wicked view of it from the campsite. We are staying here until Friday and we are going to try and go Cod fishing tomorrow with a tour that also rents equipment.
We are meeting tons of people that were at Roskilde (the same festival as us) including an Aussie group of 3 that are camping beside us and seem super friendly.
We know everyone wants to see pics of the festival and Copenhagen but the last two computers we used DO NOT allow us access to USB ports for the camera, so youäll have to stay tuned.
Well, time for dinner near the new twisting tower...(built by a Spanish arcitect, it was on Daily Planet on Discovery channel not too long ago before we left, so cool to see it)
Matt is dealing with a bit of a cold (the Roskilde scurvy we call it) but he's doing alright...so no worries...I am thus far invicible to its dangers.
Oh, and the first wipe out occurred today as I tripped over a fallen tree only to hit my head on the one above me and fall down....luckily I didn't break my femur.
Love, Kaylea and Matt
P.S. Our campsite SERIOUSLY offers Swedish massages for 200k, there are signs everywhere - it is amazing. no happy endings though.
