....the verdict is apparently not in when it should be. The grey, cool, coasting toward Hamilton Harbor from Fifty Point was dreary. Made annoying further by the minutes by which we missed the bridge and skulked miserably in the grey.

All food rations had been depleted, music played out, newspapers and books destroyed by on-board interaction with h2O - so, we gathered round the CBC as a surprising debate pricked our interest. I will not even, for the sake of my dramatic altar ego, write the word in its proper entirety. And so it goes:

' new wave' i.e. f_u_z_i_o_n  vs. traditionalists!? [loosely defined]
- as the battle between even defining a bottle of something such as (above) to the designation of wine sees both sides stating vague realities, but not the issues or solutions. If Argentinian 'au jus' can be a superstar at the cash register, why not Ontario's product? Surely, it costs even less? Not so, but perhaps if we demanded more access to our products - this would avoid these debates completely. Take advantage of the priviledge we have to grow, especially with a youthful resume and technology. Encourage an impromptu wine tasting on a summer afternoon with the local house wines. And if they don't have local - inquire as to why.

Sounds like a case for protectionism; nay, it is realism.

It can, also be hilarious and petty - not that I do not understand that for under $9 a bottle [in a time when money is not pumping out the hands of the public] that people are buying the foreign front door crasher for contemporary causes. It is economically grown, manufactured, transported, sold and drank. Plus, its right there!!! in the front of the door as soon as you walk in the LC.O ;)

$8. ** RED WINE.

But on a supply run, we will keep walking because we are always in the market for domestic quality first and foremost; encouraged now by spending this time with the product in such an idyllic 'lifestyle' scenario like this "Stay-cation". The crew realizes this is something to add to the "Roaster of Annuals" which includes those pesky tours in Niagara.

its a hobby. a thing.
Its not like we sailed to South America; but it was economical, trendy, exciting, and right on our doorstep.
