After stopping at our favourite cafe for coffee (favourite because we get free donuts) we once again jumped on the MRT (train) and headed out to Jarong to the bird park.  We arrived just in time to watch the kiddies parrot show where the star of the show was and Australian sulphur-crested cockatoo named picasso. We watched flamingo and pelican feeding and said hello to the aussie emus. We got up close and personal with a few Ostriches and fed them baby bananas. Kayla was turned into a bird perch for the afternoon parrot show. She had to stand in the middle of the stadium as two toucans flew up from the stage and ate from her hands (see the pic it was pretty cool). It was here we also met the very colourful scarlet macaws and a few of the birds played a game of basketball, the bird we supported won. Next was the birds of prey show with: wedgetail eagles, brahminy kites, vultures and my favourite a little sqwawky owl (I got to hold him). After the show we jumped on the park monorail for a guided tour. We discovered a huge aviary fillet with parrots and bought some food cups for the birds. After walking into the aviary with the food we got attacked from all sides and somehow managed to avoid getting pooed on :). After a few hours of walking around we headed for the exit but not before calling in one the night birds (met my owly friend again) and the penguin enclosure. I hadn't realised the happy feet penguins where that big.  We jumped back on the train, found some food and hit the bed.
