After an early start and another five hour flight we arrived in Vancouver. First thing we had to organize was another hotel... which is not easy on weekends. A very nice lady working at the airport chatted away for over 45 minutes and explained us what we would have to see and visit during our trip. And then we finally found a hotel a bit outside the city which we could afford.
The first day basically went by us searching for bike shops and outdoor shops to get the gear together which we will need for the oncoming five weeks. The city is absolutely charming and so fascinating. Even thought everything seems to be similar to the states it's different. The people always have a smile on their face an chat away with us. We have easy access all over the city with the skytrain.
At the end of the day we were lucky not to fall asleep in the skytrain on the way back to the hotel... totally jetlaged.
