Our adventure is finished for this time. It is difficult to put down to writing all the smells, tastes, sights, experiences and feelings. We travelled the Golden Triangle in India, from south to north in Thailand, we had a great 6000 km long roadtrip in Australia and we ended our trip with relaxing 2 weeks at Bali.

Before this we had never done anything like this before. So the huge differences in our culture and Indian hit us like a stone! For a day we were questioning if this was the smartest thing to do? But the more time we spent there, the more we started to like it. The low prices, amazing architecture, good food were only some of the things we will always remember. On the other hand constant haggling about the prices, powerty, dirtyness and the incredible slowness of absolutely everything was enough to drive any man insane. If someone would have asked us how did we feel about India while we were there or right after leaving, then we would probably have said that we hated it and were happy to get away. But now we are not so certain. There were annoying things, but there were also things that made our trip there rememberable and full of memeories. And the truth is that we only scratched the surface of India and there is sooo much more to discover in that land.

Compared to India Thailand was like a paradise!! We couldn't believe that we actually got a room, where were no bugs, the room was clean and everything was clean. Thailands hospitality and extremely low prices are the very reason why it has became such a tourist attraction. We travelled through the south during the rain season, so we didn’t get very many days with sun, but still we managed to find the most paradise like island there can be found- Ko Phi Phi. Unfortunatley we had to put a stop on our trip while we were half way through Thailand because of horse problems back home. It took us little bit over 2 months to get everything in order and we returned to Thailand. Then we finished the north ofThailand and had a week at Pattaya.

Australia was most like a European country. Except for its beautiful nature and warm climate. For a month we lived at Newcastle where we tried surfing, did some wine tasting and spent a lot of hours with polishing our skills of pool and table tennis. After that we got in a car with Rainer and Ermo and drove through a third of Australia- about 6000 km.  We experienced the full-of-life East Coast, the emtyness of Central Australia and the warmness of Northern Territories. Our plan was to drive all the way to Perth, but our car decided otherwise. After some quick changes we arrived at the island of Bali, where we used the last 2 weeks of our time on relaxing, eating and drinking.

It is a scary thought to throw yourself into an unknown place or situation, but that is what makes us stronger. We would recommend this kind a anventure to anybody! As a person it will make you see world differently than we are used to and as a couple it might learn you more about each other. And who knows maybe, just maybe it might end with a proposal. J

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." – Mark Twain
