This entry are we writing while on a bus from Jaipur to Ajmer. The trip is about 2 and a half hour and it seems that the bus driver is very fond of LOUD Indian music. The music is on and on maximum volume! Renate was smart enough to buy ear plugs before, but Kaupo was not! His ears are stuffed with the next best thing- toilet paper:)

Arriving to Jaipur was the first time when we came to a city without having booked an accommodation first. Instead we headed to local Tourist Information Bureau and got some good advice from them. They suggested a hotel near train station and since the owner was willing enough to pick us up, we decided to check it out. The hotel was extremely nice, newly renovated and the room was with an affordable price (700 rupees without A/C). Hotel had the fastest internet connection, what we have used here, good rooftop restaurant and clean sheets :o For the first time we slept without our silk-sleeping bags. Plus the top notch room service and the hotel lands on the top of our list.

In Jaipur we have seen even more animals amongst the traffic, such as elephants and camels. The elephants have really cool paintings on their heads, just look at the photos. Camel- and elephantrides are available for tourists.

The city of Jaipur is a little different than Delhi and Agra. Believe it or not this city seems more organized and civilized. Though there are miles between trash- cans here also. Kaupo tried to ask from one guy where to throw his empty bottle, and the guy pointed towards the street! :o That’s what every Indian would have done!

From the sights we have been to, in Jaipur, are Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort and the City Palace. The two last are extremely impressive!

By the way, we have bought plane tickets for Thailand:) The plane leaves from Delhi 27th of October at 2:10 pm:):)

It was just a question of time until you put up a snake-photo. Can't believe you actually held that thing,Renate! Respect! It seems like you're having a blast over there,so nice to be able to hear from you and follow you on your journey. I hope you memorize all your experiences and tell us about it when you come home :) Best wishes :)
