After amsteram we took a train to deusseldorf- home to pia- the schnarrs german exchange student from a couple yerars ago. We were pampred by pia. She made us dinner, Breakfast the next morning, and packed us a sack lunch for the train full of german chocolate. We got to meet her dad and hang out with her. The next day we headed to our castle in Bacharach on the Rhine. We spent the afternoon doing laundry, cleaning put our bags, sitting outside watching the german children play and the beautiful river and town below us. The 12th century castle was beautiful and may have been part of hitlers property. This morning we moved from the castle down the huge hill to a b and b in the center of town. We walked around town, visited shops, played cards, shipped expensive packages hard, and accidently bought water win bubbles- gross, but it's the only kind you can buy in Bacharach. We relaxed most the day and ended the day with a nice german meal including sauerbraten, potato dumplings, applestruddle, and beer with lemonade, and of course good german SLOW service. Tomorrow we will take a cruise down the Rhine to visit castles. We love Bacharach and the Germans, and we love you all!
