Where I stayed
We arrived in Barcelona as it was just getting light, and there were so many groups of people still out from the night before. We dropped our bags at the hotel and got changed, then headed out in search of breakfast. It was so early that the only thing open was a 7/11, so we got bread rolls, ham and cheese and walked along the harbour to have a little picnic. After feeding the last of our bread roll leftovers to the big fish down by the boats we decided we might as well do some sightseeing even though we were completely shattered. We chose to walk to the Sagrada Familia because we were in no rush - we couldn't check in to the hotel til about 2. We wandered very slowly and eventually got there after an hour or two. It's a shame it had just clouded over so the photos aren't very good. The queues to get in were huge so we decided to just admire it from the outside.
After a while we slowly walked home and it was finally time to check in. We both fell asleep instantly and didn't wake up til around 5. James wanted to watch the Grand Prix on TV so I went out for a wander to bring back a bit of food for dinner. Our hotel was very central, on a road off Las Ramblas!
