Dinosaur National Monument http://www.nps.gov/dino/ straddles the Colorado/Utah border. of second-class National Park, and Dinosaur became one in 1915 to protect the dinosaur quarry. About 10 different species of dinosaurs have been unearthed here including Stegosaurus.
A National Monument is a sort At the visitor centre we were able to handle some real dinosaur bones and then went for a walk around the dinosaur quarry outside, past a palaeontologist who was starting work for the day. We found some real dinosaur bone fossils on the fossil discovery trail including some vertebrae.
