Hopkins, Belize

After a long and arduous journey i arrived in
Belize City a little later than hoped. However Martin had been waiting at the rather dodgy bus station for me for several hours and we made our way down to Sittee River. I've been provided with my own room joining on to the cafe they have next to their property. With two fans (necerssary to keep the bugs at bay whilst im sleeping), a matteress and a clothes stand. All i need in this place. So i've been diving on 3 different days, been spotting turtles, sting rays, eagal rays, a varity of tropicl fish, eels, star fish, so much coral and more to be seen. i've taken to cycling on janettes shiney red bike around hopkins and down to the beach in the afternoon. Although martin and janettes place by the river is defiantely prettier, It's abit more windy down by the beach thus slightly cooler in the heat of the day. I cant believe that it can be so cold and miserable in one part of the world when its so hot and tropical out here. Ive burnt my back slightly got a bit of peeling going on, but im staying in the shade til the itching stops!
We're off on a hike tomorrow for Martin's birthday, 5 hours through the jungle cant wait! I'll take lots of pics and hopefully upload them at some point. i've settled into life quite comfortably in Belize, Martin and Janette live a very happy life out here. It seems the stresses that mum and dad have to deal with each day just dont occur out here. Life is slow but things get done..at some point!
I'm thinking about everyone at home, wish you could all be out here sharing this with me.
