Today we travel back to the states and I have to admit, I'm really going to miss Europe. We wake early to catch the train from Jurbise to Brussels airport where we will have just enough tim to make any adjustments in weight to our luggage. (They are really strict about checked bags being of a certain weight o/w it's $150 per overweight bag!) Poor Chris. He's had to put up with a very cranky Kate today, it's too early for all this movement and decision making and all before coffee. Sitting at the little airport cafe drinking our last espresso and munching on those fabulous croissants, I've come to realize that the European lifestyle suits me well.
Our flight will be 9 hours (omg...9 hours) of nothing but pouting and protesting our return. On the other hand, it will be nice not to be in some form of transportation. Three weeks of car, trams, trains, planes and walking have worn us out.
Thank you to family and friends who have made this trip so much fun and for all of you following our adventures. It's been the best trip of my life, thanks to Chris.
Ciao Ya'll
