Off all the cities so far San Antonio is one of surprise, it's very pretty and has a really nice feel about the town.... the river walk was beautiful..... it's a walk along the river (obviously) with shops, bars and restaurants.... it's also fiesta time with bands and people enjoying the party and the sunshine.....
It is also a town of history with the Alamo.... this if I remember correctly was the history of how Texas became part of the US with only 200 locals losing their lives in the battle of Alamo.... the ruins which have been restored tells the very sad story about that eventful time.... you may recall Davey Crockett this is where he lost his life..... the story is sad and you can't help but feel emotional towards the town..... I could easily stay here longer but with the Cowboy dance hall and New Orleans approaching fast... it's time to travel on......
BTW - The cowboys aren't all that, Lol :)
