in the ferry, we overslept on the floor, on the 8th deck. the cabins were all sold out by the time we arrived to Stockholm, so there wasn't much left to do. and just for the record, Stockholm is beautiful. we both fell in love with Skandinavia...the little islands, the beautiful green colour, the lakes...we'll see what follows.
in the afternoon we visited Rockperry festival,. with the Rasmus, Stratovarius, Lordi, Kwan and others, to us unknown bands. it was GREAT, hope there are more things like this coming up. as expected, but perhaps not completely prepaired to it, there were HUGE amounts of alcohol consumed and here are just a few facts for non Finnish people:
in a regular store, you cannot get any alco except beer. you buy alco at a shop called Alko and believe me, i've never seen so much alcohol at one place. they have so many stuff, like 3 kinds of vodka, long drinks and so on...so, people tend to get drunk a lot, but the drugs are not so 'popular', should i say...maybe we should think about that...anyway, Alko is connected to the government, so they get rich, when the Finns get drunk, basically.
OPk, enough about alcohol. In Vaasa we were staying at Niinu's place. she's a member of Hospitality Club (www.hospitalityclub.com) and she told us many new and interesting things about Finland. and i'm starting to like this country more and more. not only the music and the countryside, but also the living. i mean, what would you say about the fact, that their schooling is free? they even get a certain amount of money from the government (per month), to cover the expenses of living (yes, they move away from their parents...not like in Slovenian, where places are so expensive, that many live at home even when they already finish schooling).
Apart from all this, the countryside takes breaths away- over and over again. i mean, there are some parts when you could say: 'oh, this looks like home.', but in fact, all the green colour, all the lakes, flat land and tiny wooden houses...i mean, it's like walking into a fairytale. cannot wait to go up norther.
