Dear Michael,
Over my time, flying with your airline, I have defended you against my friend's criticisms of your sneaky charges and flamboyant marketing ploys, since you have always gotten me to my chosen destination at a cheap price (so long as you read the small print and travel with hand baggage - as I normally do)
Today however, you truly pissed me off, when I arrived at Dublin airport, having pre-checked one bag, and with the full knowledge and intention of having to check in a second bag (I am moving back to Scotland, and didn't realise how much stuff I actually still had, hence the second bag), when the attendant told me that it would cost €70. OK, I expected to have to pay, but that is ridiculous.
Thankfully, I was at the airport ridiculously early, as I wanted to get waxed, as I hadn't had time before, so I went online, and checked in the second bag for €35 instead of your stinky €70 late bag check-in ridiculous fee!
When check-in finally opened for my flight, one of my bags weighed 21kg. The other, 9.8kg. What does that add up to? Oh...would it be 30kg? I believe so. However, apparently it's €13 per kilo, that you charge if a bag is over 15kg - no matter the combined weight, and the ridiculous surcharges you have already applied. Apparently, you must stand in the check-in area, and re-pack your bags, until both of them weigh 15kg or less. My question is - why can't I charge YOU €13 per kilo for every kilo my bag weighs, LESS than 15kg?
As my smaller bag, was indeed smaller, I squeezed as much into it as I could, and had to leave a few things, which I have kindly asked the attendant to send to you. The contents include a pink beach bag, two towels, a white 'hoody', and a pair of boots from Penneys, that quite frankly, had seen their last day anyway. The attendant didn't seem to think she could send them to you, so I'd be quite grateful if you could send her your address (to check-in point 6, Dublin Airport), so she can forward my belongings on. I'm sure you will find some way of gaining additional revenue from my belongings. I'll expect the postage bill in the mail, plus expected surcharge, I guess that goes without saying.
I'm now in the departure lounge, and my friend Jillian made a lovely collage for me, which she gave to me last night. It's a framed collage of famous 'Lynch's' and it's fabulous. Unfortunately this didn't fit in my bags (and would have broken anyway) so I guess this now equates to me having 2 pieces of hand baggage. I am hoping your staff won't be so hard-faced as to not allow me to take this on-board fully framed. I have taken a photo of it just in case, and Jillian, I'm really sorry if I find that I have to de-frame it :-(
Kind regards
Kathryn Lynch

Don't leave the story half told - let us know if you got the frame on board!!!!
I waited until the queue died down, avoided all eye contact, and strutted on that plane! The framed collage is now on the UK mainland! (as my friend Clare said: "Lynch: 1; O'Leary: 0"
