Week two of classes...done! These weeks seem so crazy and weird because I only have class for three days out of the week! By the time I get to Wednesday (and don't have classes), I feel like it's the weekend already. So the big question I have this week is... what do the Irish do?! With having no work for classes and very few classes to begin with, I'm wondering what they do with themselves every single day! I've taken to filling my days with the gym, reading, cleaning my room, Netflix and random trips to the city to just explore and walk around! It's very different than Quinnipiac where I can barely find time to breathe! I'd say a nice change of pace, but I'm still getting used to it! I never thought I'd say that I want to be busy... butttttt.... Hahah, so yes, classes aren't too bad so far and I'm beginning to get used to their accents, so it makes taking notes a little bit easier!

Today, my roommate and I ventured into the city, but took a different way this time and went exploring. We got lost a few times, but always found our way back to the main road! On this new route we passed the pub we went to the first week, The Rock Bar... it looked different in the daylight! We also found a church, St. Finn Barre's Cathedral. It was absolutely gorgeous on the outside, but we couldn't go inside. Still, it was incredible and massive from the outside, so I can only imagine what the inside looked like! We're making plans to go back, and hopefully then we can see the inside! Then we kept walking and came across another church, St. Nicholas Church. For this church there was a security guard standing outside so we didn't even try and go in, but again the outside was really pretty! After this church we kept walking and finally found ourselves on the other side of the river near the city. So we crossed the bridge and found our way back to the city center. At this time we realized we were both hungry, so we decided that we'd treat ourselves and find a restaraunt or cafe to eat a late lunch. Finally, on a backstreet we found a little Italian restaraunt named Il Padrino. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was AMAZING! It came with two flatbread garlic breads and those were sooo good also! After we finished our meals we decided to finish it off the right way and we ordered a piece of fudge cake to share. I also ordered a glass of milk with the cake and the waitress looked at me funny and laughed, but I got my milk!! The cake was sooooo good and we had every last bite of it! After lunch, we made our way back to our apartment in the pouring rain and stayed there for the rest of the night (IT WAS MONSOONING!) We warmed up, put on comfy clothes and met a few friends in their room to play cards. But, bed early, big plans for tomorrow!!
