Sweet starry night

I've been watching  the stars tonight.
Staring and staring - I couldn't get enough of them, I wanted to drink them in, to hold them  and keep them - mine!
The moon so clear-cut and bright, for a moment I thought I could reach out and touch it.
Deep dark nights like tonight, black velvety starry nights, moonlight shadowed nights, they entrance you, carry you to a world of mystery and wonder.
And I love it.

No such sweet, starry nights in the cities.

Today it was decided we return to Amsterdam on Sunday.
So that's it.
I'm not going to cry or complain.
I am very lucky to have been here to see autumn creep in, stroke the cows and set eyes on my beloved castle again.

If all goes well I shall finally get to visit it before we leave.
Fingers crossed.

So, a couple more entries, and I'll be off.
Can't say if or when I'll be back, though I do have plans to travel.

Well, this is just an update.
I'm tired, I'm sad.
Can't help that, I'm afraid.
I'm going now, going to say good-night to the moon and the stars,
I wish you were here to do it with me
