J OURNEY: Cania Gorge to Dululu 190kms
WEATHER: 5 Degrees overnight to 23 degrees @ midday

We were slow to leave Cania Dam, meeting up again with some new road mates from Chapel Hill, the suburb next door to ours in Brisbane.
We were discussing the pros and cons of renting out the house while on the road, best types of vehicles to travel in and good places to camp! Always interesting to compare notes!

We stopped in Biloela hoping to stock up on groceries but it was Sunday afternoon and most shops were closed.

The A3 Burnett Highway makes its way through flat cattle country and we stayed on it until we reached the little town of Dululu.

Dululu named thus by the railways in the early 1900's, provides a free camping place for travellers and we were happy to stay there for the night. Toilets and fireplaces are well maintained and it was a busy camp ground on Sunday night. Not too much traffic noise either!
