Where I stayed
NEWMARKET CARAVAN PARK
BRISBANE NOVEMBER 8. 2009
Newmarket CP. $32pn
Mileage 5814
Made a quick trip to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre to pick up our new HD digital TV, and shop for groceries. We settled in at Newmarket CP for the night. We cooked the king prawns that Ray had given us and they were so huge, delicious and fresh that they needed just a squeeze of lemon and simple salad to make a wonderful meal.
Some cheeky possums were hanging around and consequently a young German traveller came to speak to us and we exchanged stories. We asked her how she chose, like lots of other overseas travellers, to stay in this park; Lonely Planet recommends the place for campers and motorhomes, so that explains the predominately international tourists flocking here.
Monday saw Kath's final dental appointment achieved and the installation of the new TV and antenna done. No more circling Brisbane, we are heading south to Tasmania!!!!! Enjoyed a lunch and chat with Malcolm and Cheryl, and said our last, 4th farewell to our Holdway St neighbours who by this time are wondering if we will ever really be gone.
