Friday 6th July

This morning was a very lazy morning as I didn't leave the hostel until it was time to catch my train at 12pm. To while the morning away (by the way it was raining outside) I had breaky, packed, watched some tv, did some blogging and just rested.  After getting my train I arrived at Manchester at about 2pm where I found my hostel, checked in and hung out for a while.   Not long after I headed out to get some lunch (which was tea and a chocolate twist from Costa, terrible I know) and have a wander around which just happened to bring me to the biggest Primark store in the world :O ! I HAD to go check it out and managed to spend quite a bit of time and money in there.  After my Primark raid it was raining so I headed back to the hostel picking up a snack and a microwave dinner on the way.  Back at the hostel I spent all evening and night blogging and organising things while eating my microwave spinach cannelloni before heading to bed.

Saturday 7th July

Today woke up, packed, had breaky, checked out but left my bags and headed out into the city as the sun was shining.  I went first to the tram stop where I caught the tram to Old Trafford where I walked to the Manchester United stadium.

I then went back into the city and wandered the city streets which were starting to get pretty bust as it was a nice day and a Saturday.  I decided to check out the Aldgate Mall, the largest shopping centre in Europe apparently!  It was pretty big with so many stores selling cheap clothing it was painful not to buy everything!

During my shop I had a skype with mum n dad and the rest of the extended family, I also had some fish and chips for lunch and may have bought afew small things… all necessary I swear.  From here (where I spent quite a long time) I wanderd to another shopping area however this one was a 'mall’ but was in a small apartment type block with small independent crazy shops crammed into a small space.

It was pretty cool and the shops were very different selling everything from goth to punk to burlesque clothes, jewellery and food.  After this I went back to the hostel to dump some stuff and then went back out to check out the Manchester cathedral (not very exciting) and get a banana smoothie (much more exciting).  It was now time to go back, get my stuff and head to the train station where I got my train back to London.  After 2 hours and 7 minutes we arrived and I found my hostel, got some microwave dinner and had an early night for a very exciting day tomorrow.

Does the London hostel know you by now? Or is it a different one every time?
