Well my last weekend in the states was spent with some wonderful people up in Aspen. The weekend began Friday riding up to Aspen with Burns and going to stay in April's house outside of Aspen in Basalt. I enjoyed April's excellent chicken parm. for dinner. Later that night we were joined by Katie and Brooke. Saturday, the group drove to Aspen. We walked around and went in stores that cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Later we went to a fun little place on the river for lunch, company was good however the food not so much. Later it was nap time! After that it was time to get ready. Charlie's Angels had to make an appearance. After a try at the bus stop, we drove into Aspen and caused some trouble at local places. We were able to catch the bus home but ended up walking in the rain and getting soaked. Next day woke up and prepared for a day of some serious tv watching. Katie and Brooke headed back to fort fun but the drive did not turn out to be any fun and they got caught in CO first winter storm. They arrived home many, many, many, many hours later. While at April's casa, we were watching the Broncos play and waiting for a pizza..................................About two hours later the pizza arrived and well see picture. So we ended up ordering food later. Well the Broncos won! We watched tv. Next morning got up and April headed in for work and Burns and I thought we would chance the drive after the snow. Drive was fine and ended up making great time with no problems. The weekend was wonderful and it is always hard to say goodbye. I have two days until I leave, and I am very nervous.
Thank you April for being such a wonderful host! Thanks Craig for the ride! Thanks Katie and Brooke, I had so much fun!! I have posted some pictures of the weekend.
