this past week we've been really busy at the stables due to the long easter weekend. of course, the other two girls i work with decided to go on vacation this weekend as well. so it was pretty much just me working the treks. i worked some crazy hours (but at least got time and a half on easter) so barbara gave me tue, wed and today off...and i do feel a little guilty about wasting good working days, but i have to admit i'm enjoying a little time to myself. i got some research done on the internet (i'm thinking of moving to dunedin in a month), and some other odds and ends errands done in town, and today i took jack for a walk down over the shotover river (and over the jetboats!) to a place called the oxenbridge tunnel...however, i saw no bridge. but there is a tunnel where the whitewater rafters go through. it was a nice hour walk despite getting a little rained on. i think jack had fun too.
i'm hoping to take a trip up to nelson on the northern coast of the south island within the next couple of weeks to visit my friend lindsay (the one who i took riding) and want to do some more sightseeing at the same time. i'll keep you posted.
