Bit of useless information but I thought that I would share that the great Lionel Ritchie is playing in Nuremberg tonight!!! haha.

Hopped on a train to Regensburg this morning. The train ride there was beautiful. It is very hilly and there are so many towns dotted on the hill side dominated by a church. It looks like something from a Werther's candy commercial!

Regensburg is another UNESCO world heritage town. It was untouched by the American bombers in WW11. The town is dominated by the Dom which was built in the 13th century. There are many narrow streets where I was told where the poorer merchants used to live. The town is situated on the Danube River and spanning the river is this massive bridge that was built in the 12th century. It is amazing that it is still standing, although it is now just a foot bridge. At the foot of the bridge I ate at this Bratwurst place that has been making sausages since the 12th century in the same building! It was so nice outside that it was great to sit outdoors, eat my sausage and drink a beer and enjoy the view of the bridge and river. Each town that I have visited (Bamberg, Nuremberg and Regensburg if your paying attention!haha) have their own sausage. I like Nurembergs best. I walked across the bridge  and it was lively of street performers and crowded with tourists!

I took a guided tour from the information center as they had an English one. It was 2 hours long and explained lots of the sights that I saw that wasn't printed in the guidebook. There were only 3 other people in my group, 2 were French and the other was Asian. English wasn't their first language, but they only run tours in German or English. I still have seen very few English speaking people!

Left Regensburg a little earlier than planned. It was smaller than expected and it didn't take long to walk around the old town and explore. I am off soon to find somewhere for dinner and some more beer. I think I am officially done with the sausages though. I feel my arteries clogging up... I will be back in Germany May 27th so I will probably be craving some then!

Went walking around Nuremberg some more tonight. There were lots of stag and stagette parties on the streets. I saw guys dressed up in a pig and lamb outfit and they looked like they were on a scavenger hunt. Looked like a lot of fun.
