We'll spend the night in Manila, trying not to breathe in the smog and avoiding the late-night karaoke, before I leave at 9 am on the 24th for Bangkok again. Christopher doesn't leave until late in the evening of the 24th, so he'll have a whole day to make trouble in Manila by himself. Last time we were apart for a day, he got a haircut and shaved off his beard! Who knows what will happen this time? Or, who knows what kind of trouble I might make all alone in Bangkok? We're staying at Steve's apartment again, a generous gift that means our stay in Bangkok will probably feel like it's not long enough. We are planning to stay a couple days before going down the Thai peninsula, maybe by train, to Kuala Lumpur.
