 KASETRON:
"Oh no, that man is in deep shit, like the boy from Slumdog Millionaire!"
LEAN BOY AWESOME: "I WILL SAVE HIM!  I think... maybe..."
ERNEST P. WORELL: "Did you hear the one about the three legged dog that walked into a bar and said, 'I'm lookin' for the guy that shot my paw?'"

Lean Boy Awesome paces back and forth in his room, unable to sit or stand still.  He is restless. He wants to leave now, but he has been stripped of his teleportation powers by the Teleportation Council due to a teleportation *cough* accident.

"Curses," he grumbles over and over again as he packs and unpacks and repacks his pack.

Now he must take a *groan* ordinary plane like every other *groan* ordinary citizen that he 'sometimes' helps, and it does not depart until March 19th, at 4:45 PM sharp.

Kasetron sits on her bed, flipping through the Lonely Planet Guide to Italy, staring at all the pictures.  A feeling fills her stomach - a nervous excitement.  This isn't her first time overseas, but she is going to uncharted lands (by her) and she can't wait.

Kasetron (thinking): I would bite my nails... if they weren't made of titanium.

I only see people when it's fitting.

Their smile, that is.

When it's lopsided and hanging askew, or pulled down too far, or too thin, or tense, and not touching their eyes, my gaze simply slides right on by.

My eyes freeze on Andrew and are held there.  These days his smile is full and beaming, and often stretching from ear to ear.

He's excited.
And why shouldn't he be?
This is his first major trip overseas.

Kasey Kid.

This is not my first trip abroad, nor is it my second, nor third, but indeed my fourth.

"You're insane!" some say, commenting on the frequency of my travels.

Perhaps, mayhaps, I am.  I have been bitten by the travel bug, and once its poison is within you, there is nothing you can do but submit to its nagging will or be driven insane.

So, really, I reckon I would be more insane if I did not travel.  In fact, I know it.  I'd be stir crazy.

INSANITY

My dad used to say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Considering this definition to be true, then I am hardly insane at all.  For with regards to my travels, I do the same things over and over and expect the same result - an amazing adventure.

It's like this: if you make a cake once, and it's fantastic, everyone says so, and then, a month later, you wish to make it again, you don't go about changing all the ingredients, do you?  You keep them all the same.

Cake - mmmm - delicious.

So, I've kept all my travel ingredients the same; and they are:

(1) A Tablespoon of Good Companionship

It was Jesser in Asia, and I couldn't have asked for better.  Sean, Jess, Rob, Brandon, Em, and Renee in South America, and damn was that ever fun!  This time it's Andrew, and he's of the same easy going demeanor as Jess, so I'm looking forward to travelling with him.

(2) A Cup of Interesting Countries

I know there won't be a lack of these in Europe.  Our plan is to fly into London, England, stay a night, then fly to Seville, Spain.  Once in Spain, we want to travel along the coast, heading south first to Gibraltar, then north to cities such as Valencia and Barcelona. Next to Paris, France, then possibly Germany, onto Italy, then Greece, and hopefully Egypt last to see my fourth Wonder of the World.

(3) A Pinch of Patience

I believe I still have a modicum of this left, and hopefully I won't have to call upon it much.

(4) A Dash of Blogging

What can I say, I enjoy it, it's relaxing, and I love to look back and see where I've been in the world.  A blog is the best souvenir I can take from this trip.
