Today was a very interesting day.

Mom decided that we would visit a new children's museum.  This one was in Oak Park, so about an hour drive from home.  Since Mom doesn't like driving on the highway we had to find an alternate route.  Well, this alternate route took us through Chicago and apparently, there was a fire so the streets were shut down at one point.  We were detoured but not given instruction as to how to return to that street.  So, we ended up LOST in the ghetto.  Mom is familiar with the ghetto in Chicago so she wasn't too worried (at least that was what she said).  She found a police officer because our GPS is broken and got directions.  The police officer told her to lock her doors.  EEK!
Well, we obviously were very lost because we ended up at Target in Melrose Park asking for directions again.  Yes, Melrose Park.  So, we were in the car for almost two hours and still didn't find the children's museum.  Then, we stopped once more for directions in Melrose Park and then we found it!!

Once we found it, we stayed there for a few hours enjoying hte exhibits.  My favorite was the dark tube slide and Andre loved throwing the puzzle pieces around.  We had lunch in the lunchroom with some other children.  Andre sat in a high chair for the first time.  That was funny!

The ride home was much smoother since the road was no longer closed.

All in all it was a fun, exciting day!
