He´s married? He looks too young to be married. He´s the Argentinian version of Ashton Kutcher, of COURSE he´s married! This is the conversation going through my mind while being blinded by the sun sparkling off of the thick wedding band on the bus drivers finger. He let me on the bus for free after I told him I only had paper money and no coins for the machine. I was fully prepared to march up and down the bus asking for change but he waved me on. "Passa, passa." (Probably spelling that totally wrong, say it outloud.) Excellent.
I went to the vineyards of Mendoza. The sun was shining. I rented the bike. I had the wine. For lunch, dinner and every fifteen minutes in between. Maybe not the most brilliant idea on a sketchy bike that kept changing gears on me every five minutes while riding on a busy highway sans helmet. But no harm came to me and what a lovely, lovely day it was.
After my wine, I rushed back to Mendoza to catch an overnight bus all the way south to Bariloche. (Where I am tonight.) It looks like Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise. Well, basically, it´s Alberta with different trees. It looks like I will be meeting up tomorrow with a girl I met in Samoa and she´s going to hitchhike me (in her car) to where she lives. Sounds like it´s a nice, peaceful spot where I can rest for a few days. I need a rest. On Tuesday I was in Chile!
Enjoy the pictures, they tell more of the story.
Miss you all,
