Where I stayed
I have to say, though I wouldn't call myself homesick necessarily, that being on islands by oneself can get a little lonely. I'm a restless sort of person. Sitting on the beach getting burnt really is more fun with a date. And burnt I am! It only took 30 minutes of reading in a chair and I am crispy fried. I looked at myself in the mirror before going for lunch and said "Oh. Shit." Needless to say, I lathered on sunscreen after that.
On a homesick note there are some things I miss, mainly it comes down to food. Of course. It was raining like nobodies' business for a couple of days and as I sat, watching it I had a wicked craving for veggie chili. Wierd, I know. That and potatoes. Mmmm. Starch.
Anyway, enjoy the pictures, everyone - entry to follow seeing as I have another entire day in Bangkok with absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to go. Forget Singapore Granny, all roads lead to Bangkok! I wouldn't be surprised if, while you're here, we somehow ended up back in BKK!
Plans for Vietnam and Laos - possibly Cambodia but maybe not - are in the making. I'll keep you all in the know.

Where did you stay on Koh Tao - those chairs and the swing look a bit familiar...
