After spending a few days in Colorado with my brother and his family, it was off to Nebraska.  My mom has a cabin at Johnson Lake, which I love to spend time at relaxing, hanging with the family and of course, water skiing.

I spent two weeks at the lake this trip, which is the longest I've stayed at the lake for one period of time.  It was great.  The weather was awesome, with nice calm water, perfect for water skiing. The first few days at the lake, it was just my mom and I.  We hung out and relaxed and my mom pulled me water skiing.  Unfortunately, she didn't ski this year as she is recovering from two broken femurs that occurred last year.  Although she can't ski, she does great getting around on the dock, getting in and out of the boat and getting on and off the jet ski.  Pretty amazing. She is still the best boat driver around as has spent countless hours behind the wheel of the boat pulling us kids around

My Aunt Penny then came out to visit us for a few days.  She came out with the intentions of sewing and working on a quilt, but I got her hooked on doing a jigsaw puzzle with me and let's just say that she didn't get a whole lot of sewing done.  It was nice having help on the puzzle, though.  It was nice getting to spend some quality time with my aunt, since we don't get to see each other very often.

After Penny left, my sister Jill and her two kids came out.  I had a great time hanging out with them and playing with my niece Ella.  We went swimming together, caught fire flies together, and just had fun riding in the boat.  Ella loves going to the marina to get candy, just like we did when we were young.

Tom and my brother, John came out to do some golfing.  John didn't get to do much skiing or wake boarding as the lake was rough while he was here.  The only couple of days of  bad weather that we had.

Tom had to take John back to Denver for work, but then returned a couple days later to spend the rest of the week here.  Tom can still turn around on his trick ski's.  Not bad for an old man.  My Aunt Penny and her husband Merle also came back for a few days.  Merle and Tom golfed while my mom and Penny went into Cozad to go the quilt shop.   I just relaxed at the lake, read books and enjoyed every minute of it.
